Our Summer 2 half term learning question is:

"Why Do We Have The Olympics ?

We will learn about the Legacy of the Ancient Greeks and
explore the impact of their idea of government.

Welcome back Year 6

Welcome to year 6 hope you all enjoyed your half term holidays but now the work begins.....

P.E: In Year 6 our P.E day is now on a Monday. Please can children have all P.E kit in school on Monday, we also may do other sessions during the week so P.E kit should be left in school whenever possible.

SWIMMING:Swimming will be on Wednesday mornings. Boys  will need to bring swimming shorts or trunks (No Bermuda style shorts) and girls will need a full swimming costume (No Bikinis). All children will need a swimming cap (Can be purchased from the pool for £1) and a towel.

Reading: Children should always bring their reading record and reading book to school everyday. It is still very Important to hear your child as much as possible. It develops their language skills and enhances their vocabulary.

Water Bottles: Children can bring water bottles to school so they can have a drink during the day these bottles should only contain water as no juice is allowed. You can purchase a bottle from the office for £1.

Homework: Homework will be given to children on a Thursday afternoon this is to be completed and brought back to school by the following Wednesday. The homework will be related to that weeks work so it is important children do complete homework to the highest standard which will help them consolidate their learning.

Spellings: Spellings will be given to children on a Monday and a test will take place on a Friday. Please encourage your children to learn these spellings as they are words they need to know.

Can we just remind you all that we do not allow pencil cases in school children have all the equipment they need. Also children do not need a big rucksack a small book bag will be fine.

Thank You smiley
