Learning in Nursery

In nursery we want all children to be happy, confident and resilient learners! We follow our schools behaviour policy of rewarding with raffle tickets and stickers and having time in our calming corner and then stop and think time if we make bad choices.

We believe that good manners are part of what makes us a good citizen and we always encourage children to say please and thank you.

As we move through nursery, we develop independence and encourage all children to help get themselves changed for PE, put on and take off their own shoes, coat and wellies. We can also help giving up dummies, nappies and pushchairs.

Please remember that having the correct kit in school will help us learn, we reccomend:

-A suitable book bag or back pack which can fit books, water bottles, letters in.

-Water bottles to contain water only! 

-All essential clothing and kits to be kept in school, all labelled with names.
