Changes to Homework!
Weekly homework will be sent out on Freeflow reinforcing learning taken place within reception, gaps or areas of interest of the children. We would love it if you could upload any completed work online so we can share it with the rest of the class.
The way we send homework out in January will be changing. We are no longer going to be using Freeflow as a way to send and receive homework. We will be moving over to using Teams, which requires you to log in, using the log ins given, to access your child’s page. On here there will be homework challenges set differentiated for each child; a page for their work to be uploaded and a contact page.
Just like freeflow, you will be able to upload images immediately. As this is a new system, it will take some time to get used to it but we will be here to keep you updated. More information regarding this will be given.
Children learn so much from the conversations they have and will enjoy sharing what they have been learning so please encourage this. This is different from doing the homework for your child. We encourage parental involvement with homework, to establish a firm partnership between school and home. In addition to this, it is important to set good habits and to show value in their homework and learning so please ensure your child is completing their set tasks.
In reception this half term, we will be reading Mrs Armitage on Wheels. We will be learning all about different modes of transport, how they move and how transport has changed. We will be making our very own types of transport and understand the different types of jobs linked to transport such as mechanics. If you know anyone or have any details of anyone who works within this sector, then please let us know! We would love to hear from those.
