Welcome to Year 6S!
Just like other years in school the children need to be reading as much as possible. If an adult hears them read, their reading record needs to be signed and a page number written. I am also happy for the children to read independently - if this is the case then they need to write 2-3 sentences in their reading record so I can check understanding.
The weekly timetable is below. The children will do Forest School on Friday mornings so can come in to school in their spare clothes with their uniform in a bag.
Children will receive homework in two ways:
A set page or pages in their maths homework book which needs to be completed on a weekly basis.
A points based system for all other subjects. The children have 10 weeks to complete enough activities to gain a minimum of 100 points. These can be completed on the Class Notebook or physically. The activities are on below and on the Class Notebook.
They will also receive spellings on a weekly basis, which they will get through the Class Notebook, and will be tested on these on Fridays.
